Grape Salad
This quick and refreshing grape salad is loaded with fresh grapes, sweetened cream cheese and a nutty topping. You can throw it together in just 5 minutes, then place in the fridge for an hour before serving.
Ingredients
1 packet cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
⅓ cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Punnet of seedless red grapes, chilled
Punnet of seedless green grapes, chilled
TOPPING
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts or pecans
METHOD
Mix together in a large bowl, softened cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and vanilla.
Gently fold in the grapes and toss until evenly coated. Cover and chill at least one hour or overnight.
Pour the salad into an attractive dish and add a large spoon to serve.
In a small bowl combine brown sugar and nuts. Sprinkle this mix on top just before serving to add a bit of crunch.
